FAQs
What is private duty CNA care?
1
Private duty CNA care is non-medical, one-on-one support provided by a Certified Nursing Assistant in your own home. Unlike home health (which is medical care ordered by a doctor), private duty care focuses on the everyday things that help you live well — personal care, companionship, meals, errands, and more. You hire us directly, and we build a schedule and care plan around what you actually need.
Who do you serve?
2
We serve seniors, adults recovering from illness or surgery, individuals with chronic conditions or disabilities, and anyone who needs a little extra support to stay safely at home. We also serve family caregivers who need a break through our respite care services. We proudly serve Madison County and surrounding areas in Western North Carolina.
How do I get started?
3
Just give us a call or send an email. We'll set up a free in-home consultation to meet you, learn about your needs and routine, answer all your questions, and put together a care plan that fits. There's no pressure and no obligation.
How are your caregivers qualified?
4
Yes. All of our caregivers are Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and go through background checks before joining our team. Just as important, we look for caregivers with warmth, patience, and the kind of heart that treats every client like family.
How are you different from a larger home care agency?
5
We're small by design. That means you'll see consistent, familiar faces — not a rotating cast of strangers. It means we have the flexibility to adjust care as your needs change. And it means when you call, you reach real people who know you by name.
Can care be customized? What if I only need a few hours?
6
Absolutely. Some clients need a couple of hours a few days a week; others need daily support. We build schedules around your life, whether that's mornings, evenings, weekends, or full days. As your needs change, your plan can change with them.
What is respite care, and how does it work?
7
Respite care gives family caregivers a break. If you're the one caring for a loved one, you know how exhausting it can be — physically, emotionally, all of it. We step in for a few hours, a day, or longer so you can rest, run errands, go to your own appointments, or just breathe. Your loved one is in good hands the whole time.
Does insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid cover your services?
8
Private duty home care is generally paid out-of-pocket or through long-term care insurance, VA benefits, or certain Medicaid waiver programs. Traditional Medicare typically does not cover non-medical home care. We're happy to walk you through your options during your consultation.
